Ramblings of a mom...

who has a child with a serious illness...
please bare with me as I share some random thoughts...
If you weren't aware, our 3rd child, Bryson who is now 10
has recurrent brain tumor called ependymoma.
He is about to undergo his 4th surgery in 7 years.

Chances are pretty good that the parents know;

1- it could be worse/ he could be or have XYZ
2- we are not the only ones in the world dealing with something like this
3-that it is "God's Will"  or in His Hands
and please please please  don't
1- make us feel guilty for being worried, stress, scared or upset
2-tell us that maybe it would be better if said child died.

Just be there to listen when we need to vent, talk or cry.
that's all that (we) parents need

You know you and B and your entire family are in my thoughts and prayers every second of every day! I know what you are going through and what you face...its hard...you just never know what's going to happen from moment to moment...and when you need your friends the most it really SUCKS that they live so far away! You know that I am ALWAYS here...just pick up the phone...we will be at the doctors on Thursday and will also need some prayers and thoughts for my dad's brain tumor...I love you Natalie! I am here for you! and just say the word if you need me!

People can say the DUMBEST things when they are trying to be supportive!

Feel free to call, any time, to vent or cry or talk or whatever. I'm kind of a whiner, so I really do love it when other people call me and whine. :-)

For now, just keep hanging in there! I'll see you tomorrow!

Do I need to smack someone around for you? Cause I totally would!! People need to learn to think before they speak...I'm sorry their lack of thought and consideration has hurt you. Hugs girl!
