I'm back!!

WOW! What a hard two weeks for me. My mom is getting worse each day....I was so thankful that I got to spend some of her last days being with her and taking care of her but it was very exhausting. Did you know 40,000 women die each year from breast cancer?!!

It's a new challenge over at Caardvarks. Scor-It is the sponsor this challenge. I was lucky enough to get a scor-it mini from the folks over at scor-it and must say that this thing WORKS!! The board itself is very high quality and the score it gives is just fabulous and it is soo easy to measure and score with. LOVE LOVE LOVE this thing!!
My first card uses one of my new sets from My Favorite Things. I used the scor-it to make the background plaid to kinda match the scarecrow's shirt....love making backgrounds!! I colored the scarecrow and owl with my Prismacolor pencils and gamsol....loving that look!

This next card is a Shadow Box Card.... SO easy with a scor-pal. It folds flat for easy mailing!! I got the instructions over here at Splitcoast Stampers. Try one! I used a variety of stuff on this one! Paper from Memory Box, Stamps from Michaels and Papertrey, Glitter by Martha, paper by Sassafrass and Making Memories. (I love having a huge stash!)

Wonderful projects. I have both sizes of score-it tool and love them!
Sorry to hear about your mother, it is so hard to see your love one in pain. We lost our father-in-law to cancer in May (only diagnosed in January). The time you spend with them is so special but at the same time very hard.
A huge HUG to you.
